Project Subquatic

Imagine, walking into the local aquarium, like sea life, and having an exhibition where they showcase prehistoric sea life, like the Megalodon Shark, Thalassomedon and the shelled creatures Ammonites. Being able to tell their story and see them interact with the surrounding as if they were still alive.

Or heading to a museum and showcasing precious artifacts without jeapordizing such artifacts. Also adding a sense of storytelling with reflective hologram to create a much more in-depth experience.

Or possibly, garnering attention from a busy classroom during science class. Boosting the interaction level between student and learning.

Project Subquatic aims to be used in educational/tourist environments such as aquariums, and museums. And is flexible to the event it is being used for - by changing the intended projected video.
This project follows the story of the Submarine named Sublantica, telling its tale with the use of underwater and reflective hologram.

The submarine itself is inspired by FitchenFoo’s Fantastic Fish- Shaped Submersible

I used an Ipad 2 to play the holographic video.
Background music : “REIKI HEALING” from purple planet music for background music
Music: http://www.purple-planet.com
Perspex sheets were used to make the aquarium and Acetate sheets were used to make the holographic pyramid.
